The primary aim of Ayurveda is to prevent illnesses. Towards this end the mind, body and soul are viewed as a unified entity.
According to Ayurveda, all mental and bodily functions are controlled by three Bio-Energies which are derived from the five basic elements of Air, Ether, Fire, Water and Earth. These are the elements which form the World and are reflected in the bodies of all human beings. The combination of these elements results in three completely different constitutions, the so called “Dosha’s: Vata, Pitta, Kapha”, which must be in equilibrium in order to maintain one’s health. At the initial consultation, which will be carried out by an experienced Ayurveda Doctor, your “Dosha’s” will be defined and the most effective treatments will be recommended. The curative treatment course is based on so called “Panchakarma”, the five treatments for inner cleansing.
Add years to your life – and life to your years
This quote from Panchakarma represents the goals and philosophy of Ayurveda.
Your energy levels will go up along with the strength that will be accumulated thereby, making it easier for one to cope with the challenges of everyday life. By restoring the balance of elements in one’s body an intense sense of mental and spiritual wellbeing will be felt. Ayurvedic Treatment Therapy and its positive effects are not just limited to the period of your holiday.
Food is medicine
According to the Ayurveda philosophy the correct daily diet is equal to natural health remedies. Medicine is prescribed only when the healing benefits from the diet is not effective any more. All meals served are prepared according to your Dosha’s.
Meditation and Yoga
Once you have got to know Meditation and Yoga you will stick to it. These are exercises which enhance the breathing, concentration and physical fitness and have nothing in common with religious and dogmatic practices. The only aim is to gain more energy for body and mind.
Walking or jogging on the beach
Experience the salty air and the waves of the Indian Ocean. Especially in the morning you can enjoy an endless deserted beach.
